Rocky Hulse, a 6th generation former Mormon, is the Director of the Nauvoo Christian Visitors Center in Nauvoo, Illinois. He has authored a book entitled, When Salt Lake City Calls--Is There a Conflict Between Mormonism and the Public Trust? Rocky discusses why there is a conflict of interest between Mormonism and the public trust. It has to do with the oaths of covenants and obedience to Mormonism that must come first before any other allegiances. This is especially important when you consider that the leader/prophet of the Mormon church is considered the mouthpiece of God on earth.
